LeoPress Sans
LeoPress Sans is a font made from Mona Sans, but with a number of changes and standards. It's the font you read on this site! It is a variable font, which means that it can be displayed in many different variants.
Forking a variable typeface is easy, but adjusting it is a lot more difficult. Each symbol has dozens of glyphs that need to be adjusted.
LeoPress Sans has a number of important differences from Mona Sans, including:
-
Rectangular points and punctuation (from an existing style subset)
-
A small curve at the small l so that it is easier to distinguish from a capital I
-
Curves slightly condensed so that it looks a little more businesslike, but still stays round
-
The 'inroads' in the d/h/u/m/n/r, among others, have been made slightly thicker
-
The capital G has a different kind of terminator
